Hi Ira,

I am planning to dial into the number that hosts the teleconference and
activate the meeting.

Where I don't believe we have a proposed agenda for today's meeting yet, I'm
open to suggestions as to the topics we should cover.

Best Regards,

/Paul

Paul,

I would suggest a review of the changes made at the face to face as noted in
Ron's document
ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/ipp/ippv2-wd/wd-ippv2-spec20-20081022-rev.pdf.
There were a significant number of attributes added, and they and the
"object" column entries were done on the fly, so hopefully members have done
some confirming consideration of these in the past two weeks. If there are
not objections, it seems that the document may be ready for WG last call.

Hi Ira,

I am planning to dial into the number that hosts the teleconference and
activate the meeting.

Where I don't believe we have a proposed agenda for today's meeting yet, I'm
open to suggestions as to the topics we should cover.

Best Regards,

/Paul

Subject: PWG-ANNOUNCE> Fwd: IETF ISMS WG last call on SNMP over SSH
MIME-Version: 1.0

Hi,

The IETF ISMS (Integrated Security Model for SNMP) WG has
completed their specifications for running SNMP over SSH
transport.

NOTE - PWG IDS WG folks - this binding DOES require the
SNMP Agent to communicate directly with a RADIUS server.

Please review or pass on to the management subsystem
developers in your organization.

Cheers,
- Ira

Subject: [Isms] wg last call on isms document set
To: isms@ietf.org

This message starts the working group last call on the ISMS documents:

[1] Transport Subsystem for the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
   <draft-ietf-isms-tmsm-15.txt>

[2] Transport Security Model for SNMP
   <draft-ietf-isms-transport-security-model-10.txt>

[3] Secure Shell Transport Model for SNMP
   <draft-ietf-isms-secshell-13.txt>

[4] Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) Usage for Simple
   Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Transport Models
   <draft-ietf-isms-radius-usage-04.txt>

The authors and the chair think that these documents are mature enough
for last call. Since the next IETF meeting is coming up, the last
call period is not two weeks as usual, but extends until the the end
of the IETF week. However, I like to encourage people to review these
documents before the ISMS meeting in Minneapolis (currently scheduled
for Monday November 17) so that the WG meeting time can be used to
resolve any issues that might come up during document review.

Please do review the documents and post your comments on this list
until November 23, 2008. Please also post to the list if you have
read the documents and you are fine with them. It is very useful to
know how many people have read the documents.

PWG-ANNOUNCE> MIB WG Chair -- call for volunteers

Hello everyone,
Because of Ron Bergman's departure from the PWG, there is a vacancy for
the position of MIB Working Group Chair.
Although the group has not been very active in a while, the following web
page provides the latest description of their activity:
http://www.pwg.org/mib/index.html
As a first step in dealing with this situation, I would like to encourage
anyone that is interested in requesting the position to please contact
Jerry Thrasher, Harry Lewis, or myself to discuss the opportunity.

Once again, I thank Ron for his diligent and significant efforts on his
work in the MIB Working Group as well as many other activities in the PWG.

All,
=20
The initial Last Call for the "Network Scan Service Semantic Model and
Service Interface" specification has closed. I got comments from very
few PWG members. According to the PWG Process "If less than 30 percent
of the PWG membership have commented, participated, or communicated that
they have no comments for a given document during Last Call, the Last
Call period is automatically extended until that threshold is met."
Therefore I need to get a response from PWG participants. Please send a
note to Peter.Zehler@Xerox.com and let me know if you have any comments
or if the specification is acceptable as written. Please send me a note
even if you have already sent me a response.=20
=20
The Last Call version that has been updated to address all comments to
date is available at=20
<ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/mfd/wd/lcrc-mfdscanmodel10-20081110.pdf>=20
=20
The Last Call Comments received to date and the resolution are recoded
in a document available at
<ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/mfd/wd/MFD-Scan-LastCallResolutionComments-20
081110.pdf>=20
=20
As usual the .doc and -rev versions are available in the same directory.
=20
=20
Please take the time to respond so we can move the Scan Service along.
I want to be sure that we can get this specification to Formal Vote and
that it will succeed so it is off the MFD's Working Group's plate. That
way we can focus on the other services of an MFD.
=20
Thanks,
Pete

Hi,

I've just posted a new draft of IPP/2.0 with many small editorial
changes and no new content at:

  ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/ipp/ippv2-wd/wd-ipp20-20081118.pdf
  - clean copy

  ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/ipp/ippv2-wd/wd-ipp20-20081118-rev.pdf
  - with revisions as redlines

Paul - please pass the *clean* copy on to your contacts among
production printing folks.

Cheers,
- Ira (co-editor of IPP/2.0)

All,

I would like to complete the PWG Last Call of this specification at the
upcoming face to face. I need some response from the PWG at large. I
need responses from member companies whether they have Last Call
comments on the specification or not. I need responses from PWG members
to meet the Last Call process requirements. Please send a note to
Peter.Zehler@Xerox.com and let me know if you have any comments or if
the specification is acceptable as written. Please send me a note even
if you have already sent me a response. I need responses by close of
business December 3rd in order to present the results at the December
5th MFD session.

Pete

All,
=20
The Last Call version that has been updated to address all comments to
date is available at=20
<ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/mfd/wd/lcrc-mfdscanmodel10-20081110.pdf>=20
=20
The Last Call Comments received to date and the resolution are recoded
in a document available at
<ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/mfd/wd/MFD-Scan-LastCallResolutionComments-20
081110.pdf>=20
=20
Thanks,
Pete

In referring features of the current spec draft to others, I noticed that the IPP standards cited in section 4 (and elsewhere) are not keyed to the references in section 10, and that the IDs and names of the documents in section 4 are not always consistent with the formal names in section 10. It might be better to be consistent.
