We are coming along with the ND draft, and have a planned release of -01
early next week. As this is now a WG document, please make sure we are
aware of any issues you have with the current document and that they are
reflected in the tickets. We'll discuss proposed changes and solutions
on the WG list.

Trac is being used, and you can see all ND tickets here:

http://trac.tools.ietf.org/wg/6lowpan/trac/query?component=nd

I will fix the following minor tickets in -01, which remove unneeded
flags and make cosmetic changes: #5, #6, #9, #14

We are adding sections that were blank in -00 and propose adding a
section of ad-hoc functionality in tickets: #11, #12, #13

In addition we will propose solutions for the technical issues on this
list soon for feedback: #7, #8, #10

If you have further comments on -00 or these tickets, I would appreciate
them this week so as not to delay -01.

Regards,
Zach

Hi Everyone,

There is a new version of the HC draft that incorporates all of the
good discussion we've had following Minneapolis.

Summary of changes:
- Gave more details on UDP checksum compression.
- Greater discussion on the use of context information and
clarification that its details are out of scope.
- Added security concern on 0xF0Bx port overloading.
- Fixed typos leftover from the changes in 03.

> Creation_date:	 2008-12-08
> WG ID:		 6lowpan

> Abstract:
> This document specifies an IPv6 header compression format for IPv6
> packet delivery in 6LoWPAN networks. The compression format relies
> on shared context information to allow compression of arbitrary
> prefixes and addresses. This document specifies an interface to an
> abstract context database but the content and the management of the
> database are out of scope. This document specifies compression of
> multicast addresses and a framework for compressing next headers.
> This framework specifies UDP compression and is prepared for
> additional transports.

IMPORTANT DATES
Submission Deadline: 11:59PM EST Jan 25, 2009
Notification: March 24, 2009
Camera Ready: March 31, 2009

OVERVIEW
Distributed sensor systems have become a highly active research area due
to their potential for providing diverse new capabilities. Such systems
allow intelligent dense monitoring of physical environments. The focus
of this conference is on distributed computing issues in large-scale
networked sensor systems (including algorithms, applications, systematic
design techniques and tools, and in-network signal and information
processing).

Authors are invited to submit original unpublished manuscripts that
demonstrate current research on computational aspects of distributed
sensor systems. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

* Computation and programming models
* Energy models, minimization, awareness
* Distributed collaborative information processing
* Detection and tracking
* Theoretical performance analysis: complexity, correctness, scalability
* Abstractions for modular design
* Fault tolerance and security
* Languages, operating systems
* Task allocation, reprogramming and reconfiguration
* Dynamic resource management
* Scalable, heterogeneous architectures (node and system-level)
* Middleware interfaces, communication and processing primitives
* Design, simulation and optimization tools for deployment and operation
* Design automation and application synthesis techniques
* closed-loop control for sensing and actuation
* Case studies: lessons from real world deployments
* Network coding and compression
