I second Michael on the lack of attack implying hidden content, as the
expected output is only visual content.

I added a pull request on the spec for adding an explicit mention of the
lack of content intended to be executed at
https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFV1/pull/224 , in addition to fixes of issues
found during last call review at https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFV1/pull/223

We could reasonably skip the August meeting, but we do owe our AD a revised
ID for https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-cellar-ffv1/, and we'd
like to get that through the process sooner rather than later.

Dave, would the meeting next week be helpful to you in producing the
revised ID?

Best,

Spencer

Possibly. We have three pull requests that need review/consideration:

https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFV1/pull/219 =
<https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFV1/pull/219>
or
https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFV1/pull/226/files =
<https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFV1/pull/226/files>

Currently the process to make the ffv1 draft is broken in the latest =
version of mmark, since the current XML generated doesn=E2=80=99t adhere =
to the IETF RFC XML Schema, so one of these two approaches (or another) =
needs to be used to fix that.

https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFV1/pull/223 =
<https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFV1/pull/223>
I don=E2=80=99t see any remaining blocking issues here, but this pull =
request needs to be officially approved and merged.

Beyond the referenced pull requests, I=E2=80=99m not sure if more if =
needed, but Jerome may know.

Best Regards,

Dave=

I have nothing else I see I should change, I am waiting for approval of

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Codec Encoding for LossLess Archiving and Realtime transmission WG of the IETF.

        Title : FFV1 Video Coding Format Version 0, 1, and 3
        Authors : Michael Niedermayer
                          Dave Rice
                          Jerome Martinez
	Filename : draft-ietf-cellar-ffv1-17.txt
	Pages : 54
	Date : 2020-08-21

Abstract:
This document defines FFV1, a lossless intra-frame video encoding
format. FFV1 is designed to efficiently compress video data in a
variety of pixel formats. Compared to uncompressed video, FFV1
offers storage compression, frame fixity, and self-description, which
makes FFV1 useful as a preservation or intermediate video format.

The IESG has received a request from the Codec Encoding for LossLess
Archiving and Realtime transmission WG (cellar) to consider the following
document: - 'FFV1 Video Coding Format Version 0, 1, and 3'
  <draft-ietf-cellar-ffv1-17.txt> as Informational RFC

The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits final
comments on this action. Please send substantive comments to the
last-call@ietf.org mailing lists by 2020-09-07. Exceptionally, comments may
be sent to iesg@ietf.org instead. In either case, please retain the beginning
of the Subject line to allow automated sorting.

Abstract

This document defines FFV1, a lossless intra-frame video encoding
format. FFV1 is designed to efficiently compress video data in a
variety of pixel formats. Compared to uncompressed video, FFV1
offers storage compression, frame fixity, and self-description, which
makes FFV1 useful as a preservation or intermediate video format.

The file can be obtained via
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-cellar-ffv1/

No IPR declarations have been submitted directly on this I-D.

This document contains a downward reference to RFC 4732.
