A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the CBOR Object Signing and Encryption WG of the IETF.

Title : CBOR Object Signing and Encryption (COSE): Hash Algorithms
        Author : Jim Schaad
	Filename : draft-ietf-cose-hash-algs-01.txt
	Pages : 10
	Date : 2019-06-10

Abstract:
The CBOR Object Signing and Encryption (COSE) syntax RFC 8152 does
not define any direct methods for using hash algorithms. There are
however circumstances where hash algorithms are used: Indirect
signatures, where the hash of one or more external contents are
signed, or thumbprints, for identification of X.509 certificates or
other objects. This document defines a set of hash algorithms that
are identified by COSE Algorithm Identifiers.

Abstract:
Concise Binary Object Representation (CBOR) is a data format designed

I think that this draft deals with all of the issues from the F2F in Prague.
The changes are:

* I have assigned the names of "Full Countersignatures" and "Abbreviated
Countersignatures" are used since the same convention of multi vs single is
not reasonable in the case of countersignatures.
* Countersignatures are now pulled up and have their own section and the
appendix text is part of the main text.
* CBOR Encoding text has been updated to not refer to the CBOR document as
well as getting the CDDL related to KDF context structure no longer being in
this document.
*

I have done the updates that were agreed on at the F2F in Prague in this
version of the document:

* There is now an example of how one could build a hash structure
* A new value has been added to the recommended column in the IANA registry
with the value of "Filter Only"
* Security considerations has now been filled in.

I believe that this meets all of the changes that were setup and it is now
ready for the chairs to decide if a WGLC is appropriate.

Jim

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the CBOR Object Signing and Encryption WG of the IETF.

Title : CBOR Object Signing and Encryption (COSE): Headers for carrying and referencing X.509 certificates
        Author : Jim Schaad
	Filename : draft-ietf-cose-x509-02.txt
	Pages : 10
	Date : 2019-06-20

Abstract:
The CBOR Signing And Encrypted Message (COSE) structure uses
references to keys in general. For some algorithms, additional
properties are defined which carry parts of keys as needed. The COSE
Key structure is used for transporting keys outside of COSE messages.
This document extends the way that keys can be identified and
transported by providing attributes that refer to or contain X.509
   certificates.

Here is my usual eclectic condensed agenda based on the DRAFT AGENDA
for IETF105. Remember that there is still quite some potential for
changes.

Conflicts that meet the eye: COSE/TEEP again!
ROLL/SUIT/DINRG and 6TISCH/ACE are maybe slightly less annoying.
(The poor TEEP people get to both start and end the week, too.)
LAKE and LOOPS -- two BOFs at the same time?

All times are EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) =3D=3D UTC -4 hours.
(Pure UTC times at https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/agenda-utc are
useful for those who want to listen from remote.)
