This is a reminder, sent out once a month, about your ietf.org mailing
list memberships. It includes your subscription info and how to use
it to change it or unsubscribe from a list.

You can visit the URLs to change your membership status or
configuration, including unsubscribing, setting digest-style delivery
or disabling delivery altogether (e.g., for a vacation), and so on.

In addition to the URL interfaces, you can also use email to make such
changes. For more info, send a message to the '-request' address of
the list (for example, dcp-request@ietf.org) containing just the word
'help' in the message body, and an email message will be sent to you
with instructions.

If you have questions, problems, comments, etc, send them to
mailman-owner@ietf.org.  Thanks!

I am Dr. Mrs. Mariam Abacha, wife to the late Nigerian Head of state,
General Sani Abacha who died on the 8th of June 1998 while still on
active service for our Country. l am contacting you with the hope that
you will be of great assistance to me, I currently have within my reach
the sum of 24million U.S dollars cash which l intend to use for
investment purposes outside Nigeria. This money came as a result of a
payback contract deal between my husband and a Russian firm in our
country's multi-billion dollar Ajaokuta steel plant. The Russian
partners returned my husbands share being the above sum after his
death.
Presently, the new civilian Government has intensified their probe into
my husbands financial resources which has led to the freezing of all
our
accounts, local and foreign, the revoking of all our business licences
and the arrest of my First son. In view of this I acted very fast to
withdraw this money from one of our finance houses before it was closed
down. I have deposited the money in a security company with the help of
very loyal officials of my late husband. No record is known about this
fund by the government because there is no documentation showing that
we
received such funds. Due to the current situation in the country and
government attitude to my family, I cannot make use of this money
within, thus I seek your help in transferring this funds out of the sub
African region. Bearing in mind that you may assist me, l have decided
to part with 20% of the total sum. Your URGENT response is needed. All
correspondence must be through my e-mail niija701@yahoo.com Please
include your personal phone and fax number.

Regards
Dr. Mrs. Mariam Abacha

Subject: [dcp] an update on DCP
Sender: dcp-admin@ietf.org
Errors-To: dcp-admin@ietf.org
X-Mailman-Version: 1.0
Precedence: bulk
List-Id: Datagram Control Protocol <dcp.ietf.org>
X-BeenThere: dcp@ietf.org

Here is an update on DCP:

* The drafts:
We have revised the DCP drafts, and they are available on the DCP
web page at "http://www.icir.org/kohler/dcp/". The revisions include
a new state diagram in Section 5.3.7 in draft-kohler-dcp-02.txt,
and changes in the "Profile for DCP Congestion Control ID 3: TFRC
Congestion Control", draft-padhye-dcp-ccid3-02.txt, to get rid of
unnecessary information that had been carried in the protocol header.
Furthermore, we have removed CCID 0 (Single-Window Congestion Control).

* WG charter:
DCP didn't meet at the recent Minneapolis IETF, because we haven't yet
been chartered as a Working Group, and there was no meeting scheduled
of TSVWG. However, we are hopeful that we will be chartered quite soon,
and will meet at Yokohama, and that we will get a lot of work done
between now and then.

* Research implementations:
We are looking for people to do research implementations of DCP.
We understand that the DCP specifications are quite likely to change
as we progress, so the point of an implementation would be to learn
more about real-world protocol issues that we have overlooked.

* A new name: DCCP?
We have been looking for a new name, and the current candidate is DCCP,
Datagram Congestion-Controlled Protocol. DCP was not a big hit as a name
at the last BOF.

* Feedback on DCP:
We would also like to hear from potential users of DCP. We'd like to
know what uses you envisage, and we'd like feedback about whether the
strawman protocol in the current drafts satisfies the requirements of
likely users.

Thanks,
- Eddie, Mark, and Sally
