CIDADE DO VATICANO (AB) - É com preocupação que nosso povo, pacífico, laborioso e religioso, assiste ao eclodir de conflitos que poderão levá-lo a uma sangrenta guerra social. Muitos desses conflitos crescem pela agitação de sacerdotes e leigos da "esquerda católica", que apoiam soluções violentas para os problemas sociais e que contam com a omissão, quando não com o apoio ostensivo, de Prelados dos mais altos na Hierarquia eclesiástica brasileira.

É o que afirma, em extensa mensagem que acaba de chegar a S.S. João Paulo II, a Associação dos Fundadores da TFP - Tradição, Família e Propriedade (para receber gratuitamente, por e-mail, o texto completo, de 12 páginas, da carta a S.S. Sob a égide da "esquerda católica", com a colaboração da Comissão Pastoral da Terra (CPT) e do Conselho Indigenista Missionário (CIMI) - órgãos da Conferencia Nacional dos Bispos Católicos (CNBB) - se articulam os tentáculos da ação subversiva, para encaminhar o País pelas sendas da miséria e da fome, acrescenta a carta. O próximo passo poderá ser uma guerrilha rural que leve ao Brasil a uma situação similar à da Colômbia. O quadro se vê agravado pela presença da "esquerda católica" no atual governo, cujos membros ocupam postos-chave a partir dos quais desenvolvem uma ação em prol da luta de classes.

A missiva faz referência a livros do Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira nos quais o autor denunciou a esquerda eclesiástica encastoada na CNBB, como sendo a força capaz de contaminar a opinião pública brasileira, pacata e conservadora, com as febricitações da demagogia revolucionária (Prof.Plinio:EnviarMaisInfo).

E conclui com um apelo: Santo Padre, não permitais que, em nome da Igreja, leigos, religiosos e até altos eclesiásticos conduzam nossa Pátria, que nasceu sob o signo da Cruz, para uma fratricida guerra social, tão avessa ao espírito cristão e à índole bondosa de nosso povo! Ouvi, Santo Padre, o apelo filial e angustiado que Vos dirigimos: "Salvai o Brasil da ação maléfica da esquerda católica!"
