Hello,

Being new of DTN, I'm finding unexpected problems in installing a recently
downloaded version of dtn-2.9.0 after having installed oasys-1.6.0 over
DEbian Wheezy on RaspberryPI.

The "configure" step of DTN failed in finding oasys : I kinow that in the
past some problems of simlink were there, but they should be solved
longtime ago..

DTN failed to find oasys both after its default installation (in /usr) and
after a forced installation (e.g. ./configure --with-oasys=/opt/oasys
--prefix=/opt/dtn).

Probably it's a trivial problem but I was unable to find a fast solution :
in any case any help will bw really appreciated.

Regards

Ugo P

Hi Ugo,
When configuring DTN2, point --with-oasys=3D<path> to the source code dir=
ectory instead of the installation directory to see if that helps. Also, yo=
u may need to change the directory name to "oasys" if you left it as the na=
me in the zip file.
Hope this helps,
DZ

Hi Ugo,

When configuring DTN2, point --with-oasys=3D<path> to the source code
directory instead of the installation directory to see if that helps. =
Also,
you may need to change the directory name to =93oasys=94 if you left it =
as the
name in the zip file.

Hope this helps,

DZ

=20

Hello,

=20

Being new of DTN, I=92m finding unexpected problems in installing a =
recently
downloaded version of dtn-2.9.0 after having installed oasys-1.6.0 over
DEbian Wheezy on RaspberryPI.

The =93configure=94 step of DTN failed in finding oasys : I kinow that =
in the
past some problems of simlink were there, but they should be solved
longtime ago..

DTN failed to find oasys both after its default installation (in /usr) =
and
after a forced installation (e.g. ./configure --with-oasys=3D/opt/oasys
--prefix=3D/opt/dtn).

Probably it=92s a trivial problem but I was unable to find a fast =
solution :
in any case any help will bw really appreciated.

=20

Regards

Ugo P

Hello everyone,

I've recently installed ION on Debian and on Raspbian using DPKG (without
building /compiling it)

When I try to start for the first time ionadmin (with 1 1 ""), I'm getting
(both on Debian and on a Raspberry) the following errors, coming - I suppose
- from the SDR database.

at line 909 of ici/sdr/sdrxn.c, Wrong profile for this SDR. (ion)

at line 605 of ici/library/ion.c, Unable to load SDR profile for ION.

at line 145 of ici/utils/ionadmin.c, ionadmin can't initialize ION

I was unable to understand the real reason of the problem, neither from the
MAN of ionadmin and of ionconfig (where several details regarding SDR are
well explained) nor from the ION documentation.

Do somebody has an idea of how the SDR profile can be created ?

Any help will be appreciated

Hello Ugo,

That error usually appears when you've started ionadmin (or any of the =
other
admin programs) without actually starting ION, as the ION startup =
process
will create the SDR database.

You can use ionstart to start the system, and there are some test
configurations in the ./configs directory of the ion tarball. For =
example
(and assuming that we're in the root directory where you extracted ion, =
run:
ionstart -I ./configs/loopback-udp/loopback.rc

That should start ION in a loopback configuration, using the UDP CLA. =
Also,
to stop ION, use ionstop.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Hello everyone,

=20

I=92ve recently installed ION on Debian and on Raspbian using DPKG =
(without
building /compiling it)

When I try to start for the first time ionadmin (with 1 1 =93=94), I=92m =

suppose
=96 from the SDR database.

at line 605 of ici/library/ion.c, Unable to load SDR profile for ION.

at line 145 of ici/utils/ionadmin.c, ionadmin can't initialize ION

=20

I was unable to understand the real reason of the problem, neither from =

Do somebody has an idea of how the SDR profile can be created ?
