This is a reminder, sent out once a month, about your ietf.org mailing
list memberships. It includes your subscription info and how to use
it to change it or unsubscribe from a list.

You can visit the URLs to change your membership status or
configuration, including unsubscribing, setting digest-style delivery
or disabling delivery altogether (e.g., for a vacation), and so on.

In addition to the URL interfaces, you can also use email to make such
changes. For more info, send a message to the '-request' address of
the list (for example, entmib-request@ietf.org) containing just the
word 'help' in the message body, and an email message will be sent to
you with instructions.

I'm not sure how well it applies to what we're doing, but I thought
folks might be interested in a recent specification for sensor

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Entity MIB Working Group of the IETF.

Title : Entity MIB (Version 3)
	Author(s)	: K. McCloghrie, A. Bierman
	Filename	: draft-ietf-entmib-v3-01.txt
	Pages : 65
	Date : 2003-5-12

This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB) for
use with network management protocols in the Internet community. In
particular, it describes managed objects used for managing multiple
logical and physical entities managed by a single SNMP agent.

A URL for this Internet-Draft is:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-entmib-v3-01.txt

To remove yourself from the IETF Announcement list, send a message to
ietf-announce-request with the word unsubscribe in the body of the message.

Internet-Drafts are also available by anonymous FTP. Login with the username
"anonymous" and a password of your e-mail address. After logging in,
type "cd internet-drafts" and then
	"get draft-ietf-entmib-v3-01.txt".

A list of Internet-Drafts directories can be found in
http://www.ietf.org/shadow.html
or ftp://ftp.ietf.org/ietf/1shadow-sites.txt

Internet-Drafts can also be obtained by e-mail.

Send a message to:
	mailserv@ietf.org.
In the body type:
	"FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-entmib-v3-01.txt".

NOTE:	The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
	how to manipulate these messages.

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.

Hi All,

Just a brief status update...

Andy recently posted an updated Entity MIB I-D that
should be ready to last-call for DS, per our discussions
in SF. I will be posting our implementation information
soon, and then I'll issue a WG last-call to send this
document to DS, hopefully terminating before Vienna.

Sharon and Dave have promised an update to the Entity
State MIB to address the issues raised in SF. This
should be available soon.

I am currently planning to request a one hour slot in
Vienna to discuss the Entity State MIB. If necessary,
we will also discuss any last-call issues with the
Entity MIB. Thoughts?

Margaret

Hi,

I have submitted this draftas as an individual submission. This draft is
about State Machine
implementation for IP Interfaces. This model is based on the State Model
that we have
implemented for IPv6 Protocol Stack here at Samsung. I think this document
provides
some useful information or best practices to the Internet Community. I
welcome your
comments and suggestions for improvement.

Thank you,
Syam

Hi All,

Rob Austein and Randy Bush have put up an RT service (a
trouble ticketing system) for use by IETF WGs. Do folks
think that something like this would be useful to help
us track issues in the remaining entmib documents?

If so, let me know and I'll get us set-up.

Margaret

Hi All,

Rob Austein and Randy Bush have put up an RT service (a
trouble ticketing system) for use by IETF WGs. Do folks
think that something like this would be useful to help
us track issues in the remaining entmib documents?

If so, let me know and I'll get us set-up.

Margaret
