Can you send some text proposals for this either to the list or directly

Hi,
the description of the mailing list says: " serving access to =
multi-interface terminals". Looks like MIF to me.
- how is this different from MIF?
- why did the MIF ML was not part of the "multicast"?

Marc.

        URL: http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc6540.txt

Given the global lack of available IPv4 space, and limitations in
IPv4 extension and transition technologies, this document advises
that IPv6 support is no longer considered optional. It also cautions
that there are places in existing IETF documents where the term "IP"
is used in a way that could be misunderstood by implementers as the
term "IP" becomes a generic that can mean IPv4 + IPv6, IPv6-only, or
IPv4-only, depending on context and application. This memo documents
an Internet Best Current Practice.

This document is a product of the Internet Area Working Group Working Group of the IETF.

This is now a Proposed Standard Protocol.

STANDARDS TRACK: This document specifies an Internet standards track
protocol for the Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions
for improvements. Please refer to the current edition of the Internet
Official Protocol Standards (STD 1) for the standardization state and
status of this protocol. Distribution of this memo is unlimited.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts director=
ies. This draft is a work item of the Internet Area Working Group Working G=
roup of the IETF.

Title : Analysis of Solution Candidates to Reveal a Host Identif=
ier (HOST_ID) in Shared Address Deployments
	Author(s) : Mohamed Boucadair
                          Joe Touch
                          Pierre Levis
                          Reinaldo Penno
	Filename : draft-ietf-intarea-nat-reveal-analysis-02.txt
	Pages : 21
	Date : 2012-04-17

This document analyzes a set of solution candidates to mitigate some
of the issues encountered when address sharing is used. In
particular, this document focuses on means to reveal a host
identifier (HOST_ID) when a Carrier Grade NAT (CGN) or application
proxies are involved in the path. This host identifier must be
unique to each host under the same shared IP address.

Dear all,

I submitted an updated version to reflect the discussion we had in Paris:

* The Privacy Section has been completed. The new text is reviewed by Aliss=
a. Many thanks.
* I added a recommendation text reflecting what I presented in my slides.=20

I also made some other changes:

* Remove all the detailed analysis to an appendix.
* Expand the security text

As an editor, I think the document is ready for a WGLC.

Cheers,
Med

Hi,
Read briefly with interest the draft draft-ietf-ancp-pon-02. Is there
an interest/existing work in taking this forward to other technologies
such as Ethernet,
MPLS (since MPLS is used in the access too, both MPLS-LSPs(TP or
otherwise) and BGP based MPLS VPNS).
  Thanks
 Sitaraman

Sitaraman -

Formal liason relationships between IETF and other bodies can be found here=
: http://www.ietf.org/liaison/

IETF has a non-WG mailing list sdnp@lucidvision.com and has had a BoF (http=
://www.ietf.org/proceedings/82/sdn.html) to discuss how IETF standardizatio=
n may interact with ONF's work, whether there is work for IETF to do in thi=
s space that is complementary to ONF's work, etc.

Thanks,

Wes George

Hi all,
The authors of this draft have published a new revision in response to
the comments received on the ML as well as the last IETF meeting. The
new revision can be found at

http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-bonica-v6-multihome-03

We had two people volunteer to review this draft during the Paris
meeting (Thanks Alain and Lorenzo). It would be great if we can have
additional reviews of this draft. Please take some time to read the
draft and send comments either to the list or directly to the authors.

Thanks
Suresh and Julien
