This is a reminder, sent out once a month, about your ietf.org mailing
list memberships. It includes your subscription info and how to use
it to change it or unsubscribe from a list.

You can visit the URLs to change your membership status or
configuration, including unsubscribing, setting digest-style delivery
or disabling delivery altogether (e.g., for a vacation), and so on.

In addition to the URL interfaces, you can also use email to make such
changes. For more info, send a message to the '-request' address of
the list (for example, ipcdn-request@ietf.org) containing just the
word 'help' in the message body, and an email message will be sent to
you with instructions.

                              Note Well

All statements related to the activities of the IETF and addressed to
the IETF are subject to all provisions of Section 10 of RFC 2026,
which grants to the IETF and its participants certain licenses and

in IETF meetings, as well as written and electronic communications
made at any time or place, which are addressed to

    * the IETF plenary session,
    * any IETF working group or portion thereof,
    * the IESG, or any member thereof on behalf of the IESG,
    * the IAB or any member thereof on behalf of the IAB,
    * any IETF mailing list, including the IETF list itself, any
working
group or design team list, or any other list functioning under
IETF
      auspices,
    * the RFC Editor or the Internet-Drafts function

Statements made outside of an IETF meeting, mailing list or other
function, that are clearly not intended to be input to an IETF
activity, group or function, are not subject to these provisions.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the IP over Cable Data Network Working Group of the IETF.

Title : Application of the IGMP MIB, RFC 2993, and Cable
Device MIB, RFC 2669, to Docsis 1,1 Devices
	Author(s)	: H. Abramson
	Filename	: draft-ietf-ipcdn-igmp-mib-04.txt
	Pages : 31
	Date : 01-Jul-02

This memo describes the application of a portion of the Management
Information Base (MIB) for use with network management protocols in
the Internet community. In particular, it describes the application
of the managed objects specified in RFC 2933, [19], and proposes a
new object for the Cable Device MIB, RFC 2669 [25], for SNMP-based
management of DOCSIS 1.1 IGMPv2 compliant interfaces.
This memo is a product of the IPCDN working group within the
Internet Engineering Task Force. Comments are solicited and should
be addressed to the working group's mailing list at ipcdn@ietf.org
and/or the author.

A URL for this Internet-Draft is:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipcdn-igmp-mib-04.txt

To remove yourself from the IETF Announcement list, send a message to
ietf-announce-request with the word unsubscribe in the body of the message.

Internet-Drafts are also available by anonymous FTP. Login with the username
"anonymous" and a password of your e-mail address. After logging in,
type "cd internet-drafts" and then
	"get draft-ietf-ipcdn-igmp-mib-04.txt".

A list of Internet-Drafts directories can be found in
http://www.ietf.org/shadow.html
or ftp://ftp.ietf.org/ietf/1shadow-sites.txt

Internet-Drafts can also be obtained by e-mail.

Send a message to:
	mailserv@ietf.org.
In the body type:
	"FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipcdn-igmp-mib-04.txt".

NOTE:	The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
	how to manipulate these messages.

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the IP over Cable Data Network Working Group of the IETF.

Title : Cable Device Management Information Base for DOCSIS
compliant Cable Modems and Cable Modem Termination
                          Systems
	Author(s)	: R. Woundy
	Filename	: draft-ietf-ipcdn-device-mibv2-02.txt
	Pages : 71
	Date : 08-Jul-02

This memo is a draft revision of the standards track RFC-2669.
Please see 'Revision Descriptions' below for a description of
changes. This document or its successor will obsolete RFC-2669 when
accepted.

A URL for this Internet-Draft is:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipcdn-device-mibv2-02.txt

To remove yourself from the IETF Announcement list, send a message to
ietf-announce-request with the word unsubscribe in the body of the message.

Internet-Drafts are also available by anonymous FTP. Login with the username
"anonymous" and a password of your e-mail address. After logging in,
type "cd internet-drafts" and then
	"get draft-ietf-ipcdn-device-mibv2-02.txt".

A list of Internet-Drafts directories can be found in
http://www.ietf.org/shadow.html
or ftp://ftp.ietf.org/ietf/1shadow-sites.txt

Internet-Drafts can also be obtained by e-mail.

Send a message to:
	mailserv@ietf.org.
In the body type:
	"FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipcdn-device-mibv2-02.txt".

Folks,

There have been a number of drafts submitted to the IETF as individual
drafts, that should be considered by members of the IPCDN working group, as
part of our adoption of the PacketCable/IPCablecom MIBs:

Management Event MIB for PacketCable/IPCablecom MTAs
Authors: W. De Ketelaere, E. Nechamkin
URL:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-deketelaere-pktc-ipcdn-eventmess-0
0.txt

Multimedia Terminal Adapter (MTA) Management Information Base for
PacketCable 1.0 compliant devices
Authors: M. Osman, E. Nechamkin
URL:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-osman-pktc-ipcdn-mtamib-00.txt

Packetcable/IPCablecom MIB Framework
Authors: S. Channabasappa, W. De Ketelaere
URL:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-channabasappa-pktc-ipcdn-mib-frame
work-00.txt

Network Control Signaling (NCS) Signaling MIB for PacketCable/IPCablecom
MTAs
Authors: C. Schell, S. Kumar, S. Channabasappa
URL:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-schell-pktc-ipcdn-signaling-00.txt

The Subscriber Management and DOCSIS IGMP MIBs have been submitted to the
IESG. The DOCSIS IGMP MIB
<http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipcdn-igmp-mib-04.txt> was
recently refreshed on the IETF web site because the previously-approved
version expired. There should be only administrative changes between -03 and
-04. Since the Subscriber Management MIB
<http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipcdn-subscriber-mib-06.txt>
is due to expire in August, expect it to be refreshed as version -07 soon.

The DOCSIS 2.0 RF MIB
<http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipcdn-docs-rfmibv2-04.txt>
may be close to considering working group last-call. Please send your
comments about this to the ipcdn mailing list.

The DOCSIS Cable Device MIB update
<http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipcdn-device-mibv2-02.txt>
likely requires a little more editing prior to working group last-call. I am
waiting for AT&T Broadband to acquire a SMICng license, so I would
appreciate any MIB compilation volunteers to review this draft. I have made
a number of changes in the -02 version, to align the internet-draft with the
RFC 2669 updates in the DOCSIS OSSI specifications.

Some other key internet-drafts that ought to be fairly close to working
group last-call and forwarding to the IESG (DOCSIS QoS MIB and BPI+ MIB)
have expired, and need to be re-submitted to the IETF.

Unless someone from the Euromodem community steps up to completing the MIB
standardization process by September 1st, I will put the Euromodem MIBs into
a single draft, and submit to the IESG as Experimental.

Hi Rich et al,

Regarding:

The DOCSIS 2.0 RF MIB
<http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipcdn-docs-rfmibv2-04.txt>
may be close to considering working group last-call. Please send your

There are some outstanding feature requests/potential mods from the
community which are still being evaluated. I would expect an rfmibv2-05 in
the near future - hope that this will be the finally mature version.

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Rich et al,

Regarding:

The DOCSIS 2.0 RF MIB
<http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipcdn-docs-rfmibv2-04.txt>
may be close to considering working group last-call. Please send your
comments about this to the ipcdn mailing list

There are some outstanding feature requests/potential mods from the
community which are still being evaluated. I would expect an rfmibv2-05 in
the near future - hope that this will be the finally mature version.

Thanks,
Dave

Subject: [ipcdn] Recent ipcdn draft updates

Folks,

There have been a number of drafts submitted to the IETF as individual
drafts, that should be considered by members of the IPCDN working group, as
part of our adoption of the PacketCable/IPCablecom MIBs:

Management Event MIB for PacketCable/IPCablecom MTAs
Authors: W. De Ketelaere, E. Nechamkin
URL:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-deketelaere-pktc-ipcdn-eventmess-0
0.txt

Multimedia Terminal Adapter (MTA) Management Information Base for
PacketCable 1.0 compliant devices
Authors: M. Osman, E. Nechamkin
URL:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-osman-pktc-ipcdn-mtamib-00.txt

Packetcable/IPCablecom MIB Framework
Authors: S. Channabasappa, W. De Ketelaere
URL:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-channabasappa-pktc-ipcdn-mib-frame
work-00.txt

Network Control Signaling (NCS) Signaling MIB for PacketCable/IPCablecom
MTAs
Authors: C. Schell, S. Kumar, S. Channabasappa
URL:
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-schell-pktc-ipcdn-signaling-00.txt

The Subscriber Management and DOCSIS IGMP MIBs have been submitted to the
IESG. The DOCSIS IGMP MIB
<http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipcdn-igmp-mib-04.txt> was
recently refreshed on the IETF web site because the previously-approved
version expired. There should be only administrative changes between -03 and
-04. Since the Subscriber Management MIB
<http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipcdn-subscriber-mib-06.txt>
is due to expire in August, expect it to be refreshed as version -07 soon.

The DOCSIS 2.0 RF MIB
<http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipcdn-docs-rfmibv2-04.txt>
may be close to considering working group last-call. Please send your
comments about this to the ipcdn mailing list.

The DOCSIS Cable Device MIB update
<http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ipcdn-device-mibv2-02.txt>
likely requires a little more editing prior to working group last-call. I am
waiting for AT&T Broadband to acquire a SMICng license, so I would
appreciate any MIB compilation volunteers to review this draft. I have made
a number of changes in the -02 version, to align the internet-draft with the
RFC 2669 updates in the DOCSIS OSSI specifications.

Look at http://www.watersprings.org/pub/id/index-wgi.html
for
http://www.watersprings.org/pub/id/draft-ietf-ipcdn-bpiplus-mib-06.txt

We will be expecting an update for this draft, more on this later.
