Gentlepeople, I want to make sure you have noted
https://datatracker.ietf.org/public/liaison_detail.cgi?detail_id=194
which is ITU-T SG13 Q9's response to our liaison re IPv6. It is marked
for "action", which means they hope for a reply for their July meeting.
It points to three draft documents of theirs which you might want to
take a look at -- for example, you might find a viewpoint in there which
you feel should be corrected.

To save us all some trouble, where can we get the documents refered to
in the note? The URL took me to a page where I have to put in some
sort of request.

And who wants to review them?

If you have any comments or see any blocking issues with this draft,
please let me know by the end of the day on Wednesday, 2/15.

Thanks,

Hi Again,

There is another document on the telechat that you guys might want to
look at:

http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-dhc-dual-stack-04.txt

This is a DHC WG document that outlines some issues with DHCPv4/v6 on
dual stack systems. =20

Please send any comments or blocking issues by the end of the day on
Wednesday (2/15).

Thanks,
Margaret

Hi All,

The SHIM6 WG has some specifications that are ready for detailed review:

Failure Detection and Locator Pair Exploration Protocol for IPv6 Multihoming

xt>

Hash Based Addresses (HBA)
<http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-shim6-hba-01.txt>

Level 3 multihoming shim protocol
<http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-shim6-proto-03.txt>

I would very much appreciate it if folks on this list could review these
specifications and send feedback.

Thanks,
Margaret

First, a purely cosmetic comment is that they mix between "longest-
match routing" and "longest-prefix-match routing". I would prefer the
latter....

Second, this document seems to have a personality split between
explaining CIDR and the history behind it, and explaining impact on
routing on IPv4. I would say that either this is an update to the
document and then it should make the observation that the everything
(except the history) also applies for IPv6 (but with different prefix
sizes). Or it should stop at the history part and be an Informational
document.

OTOH I can't say I feel that strongly about this and this document
have seen enough time already....

I want to let you know that I will most likely not make it to the next
IETF meeting in Dallas because I am expecting a baby boy who's due
date is right in the IETF week.

As for organizational details, I have agreed with Bert that he will be
my substitute during the next IETF meeting.
