Dear Fellow Internet Marketer,

My name is Janus Lindo.
I am now focusing on one online opportunity.

I have tried several of these online opportunities full of hype promising us
thousands of dollars every month.
It is a sad fact that many people who are in need to earn additional income is
being victimized by this fly by
night scam artists. Every time I tried one opportunity after the other, I ended
more broke than ever.

As a result of trying all these opportunities, I have decided to select on my
portfolio the company
which is true to their words. Not the one full of hype. The only one that has
consistently sent me the monthly check.
Even without the hype they have given me the best compensation plan with their
high % commission. They are providing
real service not the one that simply transfer wealth from the new signups to
the people at the top of the pyramid.
They are not a form of a pyramid scam.

Also when you join, you will have a team of upline sponsors who will help you
succeed every step of the way.
Instead of being left alone, you will be guided step by step by real people,
not those autoresponders.

Do not believe in do nothing, no recruiting, no selling schemes. They are scams.
You might want to try it to prove
my words. Only you can make your own success together with the help of your sponsors.

If you have 2 to 3 hours a day, you will be able to earn a full income in a few
months. And there is absolutely no
limit as how much you can earn. It is designed to gain momentum after some time.

But I prefer to avoid such statements as "You will get rich". I read it everywhere
and I do not want to
sound like them.

Rob,

I have been reviewing the changes associated
with the addition of the Java Collections
Framework. I believe the specification is
incomplete relative to the use of this framework.

Specifically I am looking at how one performs sorts
using the collections framework and have reviewed
the statements in Appendix 9.2 that relate to sorting.

> LDAPAttributeSet
>
> Implements Cloneable and java.util.Set. Removed the methods

> made redundant by implementing Set: add(LDAPAttribute attr),

>          elementAt(), getAttributes(), remove(String name),
>          removeElementAt(), and size().
>
> LDAPCompareAttrNames
>
> Implements java.util.Comparator instead of
LDAPEntryComparator.

classes/interfaces
> of the Collections framework now that LDAPAttributeSet
> implements Set).

The collections framework has two interfaces and two classes
that facilitate sorting. These are:

- The Comparable interface - an implementing
object can be compared with another implementing
object, determining the natural ordering of
    the objects.
- The Comparator interface - implementers can
compare and order two objects, called specific ordering.
- The Arrays class - allows sorting of objects
contained in an array using either natural
    or specific ordering.
- The Collections class - allows sorting of
objects contained in a class that implements the
List interface using natural or specific ordering.

There seem to be three obvious kinds of data
that one might consider sorting:

1)	Values of a multi-valued attribute.
2)	Attribute Names
3)	Search Entries

Let's see how the Collections Framework
can be used to sort these items:

Sort values from a multivalued binary attribute:

	byte[][] values = attr.getByteValueArray( )
Arrays.sort( values[]); // Order by byte
values
Arrays.sort( values[], myComparator) // Specific ordering

Sort values from a multivalued String attribute:

	String[] values = attr.getStringValueArray();
	Arrays.sort(values); // Natural
ordering
	Arrays.sort(values, myComparator); // Specific Ordering

Sort Attribute objects

	LDAPEntry entry = results.next();
	LDAPAttributeSet aset = entry.getAttributeSet()
	LDAPAttribute[] attrs = new LDAPAttribute[20];
	attrs = aset.toArray(attrs);            // from Set
	Arrays.sort(attrs); // Natural
ordering by attribute name
	Arrays.sort(attrs, myComparator); // Specific ordering

    Note: Currently natural ordering between
    LDAPAttribute objects is undefined since
LDAPAttribute does not implement the Comparable
interface. I suggest that LDAPAttribute implement
the Comparable interface with natural ordering
    based on attribute name.

Sort LDAPEntry objects

It is not possible to sort Entries, since
there is no way to get either a List or an
    Array from LDAPSearchResults. I suggest
    that LDAPEntry implement the Comparable
interface with natural ordering based on the
    dn, and that LDAPSearchResults implement
a nextArray() method (see below). If this
were done, sorting of LDAPEntry objects
    could be done as follows:

    LDAPEntry[] entries = results.nextArray();
    Arrays.sort(entries); // Sort by dn
    Arrays.sort(entries, myComparator);	// Specific ordering.

Note: myComparator is probably of type LDAPCompareAttrNames,
but an application could implement their own Comparator class.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Suggested changes to the draft:

2.1 public class LDAPAttribute
        implements Cloneable, Serializable, Comparable
  ------------------------
2.2.2 compareTo

	public int compareTo(Object obj)

Compares this object with the specified object for
order. Ordering is determined by comparing attribute
names (see getName()) using the compareTo() method of
the String class. Returns a negative integer, zero, or
a positive integer as this object is less than, equal
to, or greater than the specified object.

obj The object to be compared to this object.
  ------------------------

2.14 public classs LDAPEntry
        implements Serializable, Comparable
  ------------------------
2.14.2 compareTo

	public int compareTo(Object obj)

Compares this object with the specified object for
order. Ordering is determined by comparing dn values
(see getDN) using the compareTo() method of the String
class. Returns a negative integer, zero, or a
positive integer as this object is less than, equal
to, or greater than the specified object.

obj The object to be compared to this object.

  ------------------------
(in class LDAPSearchResults)

2.35.5 nextArray

	public LDAPEntry[] nextArray() throws LDAPException

Returns an array containing all LDAPEntries in the
order they were received. If automatic referral
following is disabled or a referral was not
followed, nextArray() will throw an
LDAPReferralException when the referral is received.

It should be noted that only those Entries which
have been received and not retrieved via next()
or nextArray() are placed in the array. This will
generally be the number of entries specified by
batchsize. The size of the array returned will
equal the number of entries returned. If all
entries have already been returned, nextArray()
throws NoSuchElementException. If a sort of all
entries returned by a search is desired, batchsize
should be set to zero so that all entries are received
by the API before control is returned to the application.
(see LDAPSearchConstraints.setBatchSize()).  Sorting
can be performed using the sort method of the Arrays class.

Rob,

I realize I overlooked something in the discussion on sorting,
specifically
the two classes TreeSet and TreeMap that order objects as they are
added into the to the Tree object. Objects are sorted either by
their natural order or as specified by a Comparator object.

With that information, the following changes are in order.

-	The TreeSet class, an implementation of the SortedSet interface
sorts objects as they are added to the object, and
 	uses natural or specific ordering.
-	The TreeMap class, an implementation of the SortedMap interface
sorts objects by keys as they are added to the object, and
 	uses natural or specific ordering.

TreeSet can be used to order attributes by looping
through the name and adding each to the set using natural
	ordering or a specific comparator.

If LDAPAttribute objects implement Comparable as I
suggest, one can simply say "new TreeSet(attributeSet)"
to create a naturally sorted collection of attributes.

Using TreeSet, Entries can be sorted by adding the Entries
to the TreeSet object. This has the advantage over nextArray()
in that no fiddling need be done with batchsize. It is up
to the application to determine which Entries are sorted and
how to deal with ensuring adequate memory for large sorts.

I see no need for the above described nextArray method.

Eliminate nextArray, but do have LDAPEntry and LDAPAttribute
implement Comparable.

The description of LDAPCompareAttrNames should be clarified to
something like the following:

2.7 public class LDAPCompareaAttrNames
			implements Comparator

An object of this class defines the ordering when sorting
search results. LDAPEntry objects are sorted by the value
of the specified attribute name(s) in ascending or descending
order. This object is typically supplied to an implementation
of the collection interfaces like TreeSet which performs the sort.

 -----------------------------------------------

In summary what I suggest is,

add "implement Comparable" for classes LDAPAttribute and LDAPEntry
(with appropriate description of natural compare mechanism)

 Clarify description for LDAPCompareAttrNames

Hello,

RFC2252 lists in 4.3.2 a syntax

Subtree Specification Y 1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.115.121.1.45

However - there is no further definition of the syntax.

Question: Where is defined how values of attributes of syntax subtree specification (esp. values of the attribute subtreeSpecification) have to be encoded?

One product (Syntegra LDE) is doing it this way:

subtreeSpecification: $ minimum:0

Is this correct???

Other general question: Is it allowed to search / to modify objects of DSE-Type subentry (e.g. collective-attribute-subentries) via LDAP?

Best regards,

Jochen Keutel.

Steve,

Your second message on this topic (below) is very difficult to parse. Could you rewrite it to just include what you are proposing?

Thanks,

There is no standard definition of the LDAP-specific encoding
for the Subtree Specification syntax. An early draft of the I-D
that led to RFC 2252 (draft-ietf-asid-ldapv3-attributes-03.txt)
defined an LDAP-specific encoding for SubtreeSpecification but
this did not make it into the final RFC.

There is an Internet draft, draft-zeilenga-ldap-subentry-03.txt,
currently being reviewed by the IESG, that defines the LDAP-specific
encoding for the Subtree Specification syntax.

It would appear to be a proprietary format. It doesn't fit either
the format described in draft-ietf-asid-ldapv3-attributes-03.txt
or the format defined in draft-zeilenga-ldap-subentry-03.txt.

Yes.

Hello,
thanks for the clarification. One comment:

>

OK - it's allowed. But it's not really possible because
I can't express some attributes, e.g. subtreeSpecification, in LDAP.

You are right: draft-zeilenga-ldap-subentry-03.txt solves
this problem - but only for subtreeSpecification.
I still can't see how to express
the other attributes I usually find in (X.500) subentries, e.g.

- prescriptiveACI for access control subentries
- DIT content rules and structure rules for subschema subentries
- collective attributes for collective attributes subentries
(e.g. collectiveTelephoneNumber (X.520))

The last one seems to be addressed by draft-zeilenga-ldap-collective-06.txt,
but not the other two kinds of subentries.

So it seems that today each X.500 vendor has a vendor-specific (or no) representation
of these subentries when read / modified via LDAP.

Best regards,

Jochen Keutel.

In the worst case, LDAP allows all attribute and assertion syntaxes
defined in X.500 to be transfered in the LDAP protocol in BER format
by using ";binary".

The extent to which any particular LDAP product supports this capability
is a separate issue.

I have proposed an LDAP-specific encoding for the ACI Item syntax in
draft-legg-ldap-acm-bac-00.txt.

LDAP-specific encodings for these are already defined in RFC 2252.

The LDAP-specific encodings for collective attributes are simply the
same as their non-collective counterparts since they share the same
attribute syntaxes.

Currently, the only LDAP standard representation defined for
things like subtree specifications, ACI items, etc, is the
";binary" representation. This will change. The I-Ds Kurt and
I have submitted complete the definition of human-readable
LDAP-specific encodings for all the subentry operational
attributes.

Hello Fellow Networker,

My name is Richel Remonde. I am now focusing on one
online opportunity.

I have tried several of these
online opportunities full of hype promising us
thousands of dollars every month.

It is a sad fact that many people who are in need
to earn additional income is being victimized by
this fly by night scam artists. Every time I tried
one opportunity after the other, I ended more broke
than ever.

As a result of trying all these opportunities, I
have decided to select on my portfolio the company
which is true to their words. Not the one full of
hype. The only one that has consistently sent me
the monthly check. Even without the hype they have
given me the best compensation plan with their high
% commission. They are providing real service not
the one that simply transfer wealth from the new
signups to the people at the top of the pyramid.
They are not a form of a pyramid scam.

Also when you join, you will have a team of upline
sponsors who will help you succeed every step of
the way. Instead of being left alone, you will be
guided step by step by real people, not those
autoresponders.

Do not believe in do nothing, no recruiting, no
selling schemes. They are scams. You might want to
try it to prove my words. Only you can make your
own success together with the help of your
sponsors.

If you have 2 to 3 hours a day, you will be able to
earn a full income in a few months. And there is
absolutely no limit as how much you can earn. It is
designed to gain momentum after some time.

But I prefer to avoid such statements as "You will
get rich". I read it everywhere and I do not want
to sound like them.

Send email to richremo1@yahoo.com and put
"SIGN ME UP FOR FREE" in the subject and your
fullname in the body of your email.
