Dear all.

I'm going to work with multiple gateway load balancing in wireless networks=
such as MESH/MANETS. If anyone that have an "multiple gateway load balanci=
ng" implementation in ns-2, I would appreciate if you could share the code =
with me. Also, if you can recommend any related papers, please let me know.

Thank you all

Regards

Vinh

We posted an update to the NHDP-MIB. This represents an extensive update t=
o the previous 'shell'. The focus of this rewrite was to get the configura=
tion and state groups in place and in-line with tables in the NHDP protocol=
draft. To do this we added to constructs, a nodeId of discovered peers an=
d an interfaceId of discovered peer interfaces. This was necessary to inde=
x into a table of addresses associated with the remote interface.

Now that the config and state groups are well developed in the NHDP-MIB, we=
were able to align and update the configuration and state groups in the OL=
SR-MIB (also posted today).

If you have any suggestions to objects for the performance group (or notifi=
cations), please post to the list. We'll be working those issues next.

Thanks,
Bob Cole

Subject: New Version Notification for draft-cole-manet-nhdp-mib-01

A new version of I-D, draft-cole-manet-nhdp-mib-01.txt has been successfuly=
submitted by Robert Cole and posted to the IETF repository.

Filename: draft-cole-manet-nhdp-mib
Revision: 01
Title: Definition of Managed Objects for the Neighborhood Discove=
ry Protocol
Creation_date: 2009-02-21
WG ID: Independent Submission
Number_of_pages: 46

Abstract:
This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB)
for use with network management protocols in the Internet community.
In particular, it describes objects for configuring aspects of the
Neighborhood Discovery Protocol (NHDP) process on a router. The NHDP
MIB also reports state information, performance information and
notifications. This additional state and performance information is
useful to management stations troubleshooting neighbor discovery
problems.

As noted in our previous posting, we submitted an update to the OLSR-MIB. =
This rewrite aligns the configuration and state groups with the NHDP-MIB. I=
n fact, in several cases the tables in the OLSR-MIB are extensions to the c=
orresponding NHDP-MIB tables.

As for the NHDP-MIB, we will next concentrate on the performance and notifi=
cations groups. If you have suggestions for objects within these groups, p=
lease post to the list.

Thanks,
Bob Cole

To all:

Joe, Brian, Sean and I posted an update to the MANET-SMF-MIB. This contain=
ed some extensive revisions, including:

+ A CapabilitiesGroup - which allows a net mgmt appl to discover the capabi=
lities of the SMF node, e.g., RSSAs supported

+ Put the reporting functions in a ReportsGroup - we wtill need to identify=
approapriate statistics to be reported in this group

+ added a number of performance counters related to the DPD functions (base=
d upon Ian's earlier suggestions)

+ Broke out the performance counters by IPv4 and IPv6 ( per Ian's earlier =
suggestions)

+ Added the IF tables for the performance counters

+ Added tables in the config and state groups related to multicast addresse=
s to be forwarded by the local device (both configured and discovered).

Still have some discussions ahead:

+ The draft still contains a gatewayFilterTable which probably should go el=
sewhere (e.g., it's own MIB?) =20
+ We need to fix the conformance sections,; right now it is pretty much of =
a brute force approach.

Thanks,
Bob
