 IFIP/IEEE International Symposium on Integrated Network Management  (IM
2019)
                     8-12 April 2019, Washington DC, USA

              Intelligent Management for the Next Wave of Cyber and
Social Networks”,
============================== Important dates
=================================

Technical paper submission deadline: August 19, 2018
Notification of Acceptance: November 15, 2018

PLEASE NOTE: Conference dates and timelines are about a month earlier than
for previous editions of IM.  Please plan accordingly.

===============================  Overview
======================================

The 16th IFIP/IEEE Symposium on Integrated Network and Service
Management (IM
2019) will be held 8-12 April 2019 in Washington DC, USA. Held in
odd-numbered
years since 1989, IM 2019 follows the 31 years tradition of NOMS and IM
as the
primary IEEE Communications Society’s forum for technical exchange on
management
of information and communication technology focusing on
research, development,
integration, standards, service provisioning, and user communities.

IM 2019 will focus on the theme “Intelligent Management for the Next
Wave of
Cyber and Social Networks”, reflecting the increasing convergence of both
technical network infrastructure and infrastructure for social
interactions as
well as the emergence of new waves of communications technology
involving areas
as varied as cyber-physical systems, ultra-low latency services, and
converged
management and control planes.

IM 2019 will offer five types of sessions: technical, experience,
poster, panel
and dissertation. High quality will be assured through a well-qualified
Technical Program Committee and stringent peer review of paper submissions.
A special call for demonstrations is organized to allow industry
partners and
researchers to demonstrate early products and prototypes.

============================== Topics of interest
==============================

Authors are invited to submit papers that fall into or are related to
the field
of integrated network and service management, including the topic areas
that are
listed below. In addition, we invite submissions of proposals for
demonstrations, exhibits, technical panels, tutorials and workshops, as
well as
experience session papers and dissertation papers.

                     Call for Contributions
                for maprg IETF-102, Montreal

The IRTF Measurement and Analysis for Protocols Research Group
(maprg) will have its next (2.5 hour) meeting during IETF-102 (July 14-20),
2018, in Montreal, and we would like to invite you to submit your
measurement research contribution for presentation at the maprg meeting.
The contribution can be new (measurement) work, work accepted for
publication, or a recent publication in the scope of the research
group. Please see the charter for questions on scope:

   https://datatracker.ietf.org/rg/maprg/charter/

Please send a short abstract (200-300 words) to the maprg chairs
(maprg-chairs@ietf.org) describing your proposed contribution. For
planning purposes we encourage to send your contribution as soon
as possible and latest by:

        June 22, 2018

Further, we also encourage short presentations (5-10 min) with updates
of measurement data that have been presented previously in maprg.

The chairs will assemble an agenda for the meeting based on received
submissions taking into consideration the group's scope, common
themes, and/or relevance to current IETF work. While remote
presentations are possible and welcome, we will favor in-person
presentations if needed due to meeting time restrictions as this
supports additional interaction with the IETF community outside of the
meeting which is also a goal for this group. Also since meeting
time includes questions, comments, and discussion, contributors may be
invited to present, instead, in subsequent meetings.

Please share this call with other interested people or groups!

Thanks for sending your contributions!

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!

- Dave and Mirja (maprg chairs)
