Hello all,

=20

A new draft describing applications behaviors dealing with multiple
interface issues in the IPv6 transition context has been submitted. In
this draft, DS-Lite, AplusP, NAT64 and their combinations with IPv6
provisioning have been tested and suggestions are therefore stated
according to the test results.

http://tools.ietf.org/id/draft-zheng-mif-apps-test-00.txt
<http://tools.ietf.org/id/draft-zheng-mif-apps-test-00.txt>=20

=20

The Abstract of this I-D:

=20

With the development of IPv6 and deployment of transition solutions,
more and more hosts can access Internet with dual stack by
multi-interface and applications behaviors are worth to be concerned
under this environment. This memo describes the test results of some
well-known applications in different scenarios under MIF environment and
provides an analysis and suggestions to develop and deploy under MIF
environment.

=20

Comments are very much appreciated if it's something of your interest.

Cheers,

Xiaohong

Dear all,

I have submitted an updated draft for Happy Eyeballs Extension based
on received comments.

Please kindly check.

Comments are welcome.

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: internet-drafts@ietf.org
Date: Mon, 11 Jul 2011 10:37:48 -0700
Subject: I-D Action: draft-chen-mif-happy-eyeballs-extension-02.txt
To: i-d-announce@ietf.org

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.

Title : Happy Eyeballs Extension for Multiple Interfaces
	Author(s) : Gang Chen
                          Carl Williams
	Filename : draft-chen-mif-happy-eyeballs-extension-02.txt
	Pages : 7
	Date : 2011-07-11

The memo has been proposed to extend happy eyeballs algorithm to fit
into multiple interfaces environment. Based on this extended
heuristic algorithm, a client with multiple interface could determine
the optimal flow path in which specific interface has been chosen.
Furthermore, an appropriate IP address family for each interface can
be also identified to guarantee user experiences during IPv6
   transition period.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts director=

the IETF.

	Title : DHCPv6 Route Options
	Author(s) : Wojciech Dec
                          Tomasz Mrugalski

	Pages : 12
	Date : 2011-07-26

This document describes DHCPv6 Route Options for provisioning IPv6
routes on DHCPv6 client nodes. This is expected to improve the
ability of an operator to configure and influence a nodes' ability to
pick an appropriate route to a destination when this node is multi-
homed and where other means of route configuration may be
   impractical.

Dear groups,

New version of the draft-ietf-mif-dhcpv6-route-option draft has been
uploaded. The only significant change is addition of a verification
mechanism before client is allowed to use configured routes. NUD should
be used to detect if provided routers are indeed available. Lack of such
mechanism was pointed out by Joel Halpern from RtgDir. Thank you for the
review and for pointing that out.

Minor changes include:
- clarification that 2 NEXT_HOP options must be unique.
- change of affiliation
- name change (DHCPv6 options, not option)

This draft is going to be presented in DHC. Possibly short update in MIF
may be useful as well.

Regards,
Tomek
