Hi,
this is a call to see if there is consensus to make "Analysis of MPTCP resi=
dual threats and possible fixes" [draft-bagnulo-mptcp-attacks-01] a WG doc
This document essentially explains the result of the discussin during the i=
nterim call about improvements to security to get mptcp on the standards tr=
ack.
Please send your views to the list &/or raise them during the WG meeting

thanks
Phil & Yoshi

hi

thought it was worth highlighting that in Vancouver we have two sessions (t=
his is to try and give us time to discuss, reflect and confirm improvements=
to mptcp security). The agenda is a bit flexible, depending how much time =
the security-related discussions take tomorrow (monday). they have priority=
 - if time we;ll also have these two slots, otherwise they'll be on Wed:

MPTCP path selection using Port Control Protocol (PCP) (15 mins)
               Dan Wing

Evolving the Internet with Connection Acrobatics (10 mins)
               Marcelo Bagnulo
thanks

Hello,

I would like to point you to our recent paper:
"On the Benefits of Applying Experimental Design to Improve Multipath TCP"
Christoph Paasch, Ramin Khalili and Olivier Bonaventure. ACM CoNEXT 2013.

It is available here:
http://inl.info.ucl.ac.be/publications/benefits-applying-experimental-design-improve-multipath-tcp

The paper shows that using an experimental design approach allows to have
a better overview of the performance of a protocol implementation.

We use a space-filling design to explore ~200 heterogeneous
environments within our parameter-space and thus were able to detect a
previously unknown performance issue within the Linux Kernel MPTCP implementation
and solve this issue.

The paper also includes a short comparative study of the coupled congestion
control vs. the Olia proposal.

Feedback is of course very welcome.

Hi Yoshifumi,

I have updated the congestion control draft based on the feedbacks I
received from you, Nicolas, and other folks. You can find the new
version via:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bzyq3_ZbR6DyMEVPdks5Zl8wTWc/edit?usp=sharing

I would be very happy to receive your comments and feedbacks about this
new version.

Regards,
Ramin.

PS: as we are in the cut-off period, I put the draft on google doc.

Subject: [multipathtcp] flexible agenda for mptcp sessions

hi

thought it was worth highlighting that in Vancouver we have two sessions (t=
his is to try and give us time to discuss, reflect and confirm improvements=
to mptcp security).

               Marcelo Bagnulo
thanks

Hello,

I'd like to present to you our recent paper :
"Are TCP Extensions Middlebox-proof?"
Benjamin Hesmans, Fabien Duchene, Chrisoph Paasch, Gregory Detal and
Olivier Bonaventure. ACM workshop CoNeXT 2013.

It is available:
http://inl.info.ucl.ac.be/publications/are-tcp-extensions-middlebox-proof

The paper presents a tool to observe the behavior of TCP extension that
pass trough middleboxes and a study of MPTCP over real networks.

In the first part we took a look at standard TCP options but in the
second part, we took a closer look at the MPTCP option and highlight
some unexpected interactions between MPTCP and some middleboxes.

All feedback and comments are welcome !

Benjamin

Hi,

Sorry for the delay. We've uploaded a draft minutes for the first meeting
at Vancouver.
The minutes for the second meeting will be uploaded shortly.
If there's any mistakes or additional info, please feel free to let us know!

http://tools.ietf.org/wg/mptcp/minutes?item=minutes-88-mptcp.txt

We thank everyone who participated very productive discussions at the
meetings.
Especially, we really appreciate Stuart who kindly accepted our impudent
request on the site.

We also uploaded the final version of the minutes for interim meeting at
last October.

http://www.ietf.org/proceedings/interim/2013/10/03/mptcp/minutes/minutes-interim-2013-mptcp-1

Thanks,

Use ns3-dce, it allows you to load a Linux kernel in the nodes you want.
Here you have a guide for installing MPTCP in NS3
(https://plus.google.com/u/0/s/mptcp).

Hi Lekshmi,

Sorry, I've noticed your e-mail sent me, but I didn't have time to respond.
For questions to related to ns-2, you can send them to me.
We probably will need to exchange e-mails to figure it out your problem.
First, I would like to see the script you've used and out.tr file.

Thanks,
