Title : Fault Management for EVPN networks
        Authors : Vengada Prasad Govindan
                          Mudigonda Mallik
                          Ali Sajassi

	Pages : 20
	Date : 2020-04-30

Abstract:
This document specifies proactive, in-band network OAM mechanisms to
detect loss of continuity and miss-connection faults that affect
unicast and multi-destination paths (used by Broadcast, Unknown
Unicast and Multicast traffic) in an Ethernet VPN (EVPN) network.
The mechanisms specified in the draft are based on the widely adopted
   Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD) protocol.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the EAP Method Update WG of the IETF.

Title : Nimble out-of-band authentication for EAP (EAP-NOOB)
        Authors : Tuomas Aura
                          Mohit Sethi

	Date : 2020-05-05

Abstract:
Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) provides support for
multiple authentication methods. This document defines the EAP-NOOB
authentication method for nimble out-of-band (OOB) authentication and
key derivation. The EAP method is intended for bootstrapping all
kinds of Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices that have no pre-configured
authentication credentials. The method makes use of a user-assisted
one-directional OOB message between the peer device and
authentication server to authenticate the in-band key exchange. The
device must have an input or output interface, such as a display,
microphone, speakers or blinking light, which can send or receive
dynamically generated messages of tens of bytes in length.

	Date : 2020-05-06

Abstract:
This document introduces a new DNSKEY flag called DELEGATION_ONLY
that indicates that the particular zone will never sign zone data
across a label. That is, every label (dot) underneath is considered
a zone cut and must have its own (signed) delegation. Additionally,
it indicates the zone is expecting its parent to never bypass or
override the zone. DNSSEC Validating Resolvers can use this flag to
mark any data that violates the DELEGATION_ONLY policy as BOGUS.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Concise Binary Object Representation Maintenance and Extensions WG of the IETF.

Title : Concise Binary Object Representation (CBOR) Tags for Date
        Authors : Michael B. Jones

	Pages : 5
	Date : 2020-05-07

Abstract:
The Concise Binary Object Representation (CBOR, RFC 7049) is a data
format whose design goals include the possibility of extremely small
code size, fairly small message size, and extensibility without the
   need for version negotiation.

In CBOR, one point of extensibility is the definition of CBOR tags.
RFC 7049 defines two tags for time: CBOR tag 0 (RFC 3339 date/time
string) and tag 1 (Posix "seconds since the epoch"). Since then,
additional requirements have become known. This specification
defines a CBOR tag for an RFC 3339 date text string, for applications
needing a textual date representation without a time. It also
defines a CBOR tag for days since the Posix epoch, for applicaitons
needing a numeric date representation without a time. It is intended
as the reference document for the IANA registration of the CBOR tags
   defined.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Audio/Video Transport Core Maintenance WG of the IETF.

        Title : RTP-mixer formatting of multi-party Real-time text
        Author : Gunnar Hellstrom
	Filename : draft-ietf-avtcore-multi-party-rtt-mix-00.txt
	Pages : 25
	Date : 2020-05-07

Abstract:
Real-time text mixers for multi-party sessions need to identify the
source of each transmitted group of text so that the text can be
presented by endpoints in suitable grouping with other text from the
   same source.

Regional regulatory requirements specify provision of real-time text
in multi-party calls. RFC 4103 mixer implementations can use
traditional RTP functions for source identification, but the mixer
source switching performance is limited when using the default
   transmission with redundancy.

An enhancement for RFC 4103 real-time text mixing is provided in the
present specification, suitable for a centralized conference model
that enables source identification and efficient source switching.
The intended use is for real-time text mixers and multi-party-aware
participant endpoints. The mechanism builds on use of the CSRC list
   in the RTP packet.

A capability exchange is specified so that it can be verified that a
participant can handle the multi-party coded real-time text stream.
The capability is indicated by an sdp media attribute "rtt-mix".

A brief description about how a mixer can format text for the case
when the endpoint is not multi-party aware is also provided.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the EAP Method Update WG of the IETF.

Title : TLS-based EAP types and TLS 1.3
        Author : Alan DeKok
	Filename : draft-ietf-emu-tls-eap-types-00.txt
	Pages : 10
	Date : 2020-05-14

Abstract:
EAP-TLS [RFC5216] is being updated for TLS 1.3 in [EAPTLS]. Many
other EAP [RFC3748] and [RFC5247] types also depend on TLS, such as
FAST [RFC4851], TTLS [RFC5281], TEAP [RFC7170], and possibly many
vendor specific EAP methods. This document updates those methods in
order to use the new key derivation methods available in TLS 1.3.
Additional changes necessitated by TLS 1.3 are also discussed.

Objectives include: complementing external technical standards as
   regulator-accepted means of compliance with UAS RID regulations;
facilitating use of existing Internet resources to support UAS RID
and to enable enhanced related services; and enabling verification
that UAS RID information is trustworthy (to some extent, even in the
absence of Internet connectivity at the receiving node).

This document defines an architecture for Drone Remote Identification
Protocol (DRIP) Working Group protocols and services to support
Unmanned Aircraft System Remote Identification (UAS RID) and RID-
related communications, including its building blocks and their
   interfaces, all to be standardized.

CAVEAT LECTOR: This draft version is undergoing substantial
restructuring and is submitted to the DRIP WG only to spark
discussion on architecture and to be adopted as a placeholder if
there is consensus that there should be an architecture document
(however far from any future consensus on that architecture this
   draft may be).

Abstract:
This specification defines a new DNS TIMEOUT resource record (RR)
that associates a lifetime with one or more zone resource records.
It is intended to be used to transfer resource record lifetime state
between a zone's primary and secondary servers and to store lifetime
   state during server software restarts.

Title : Layer 3 Discovery and Liveness Signing
        Authors : Randy Bush
                          Rob Austein

	Date : 2020-05-26

Abstract:
The Layer 3 Discovery and Liveness protocol OPEN PDU may contain a
key and a certificate, which can be used to verify signatures on
subsequent PDUs. This document describes two mechanisms based on
digital signatures, one that is Trust On First Use (TOFU), and one
that uses certificates to provide authentication as well as session
   integrity.

This document describes how the Alternate Marking Method can be used
as the passive performance measurement tool in an IPv6 domain and
reports implementation considerations. It proposes how to define a
new Extension Header Option to encode alternate marking technique and
both Hop-by-Hop Options Header and Destination Options Header are
   considered.
