This draft is a work item of the Operations and Management Area Working Group WG of the IETF.

Title : A Layer 2 VPN Network YANG Model
        Authors : Samier Barguil
                          Oscar Gonzalez de Dios
                          Mohamed Boucadair

	Filename : draft-ietf-opsawg-l2nm-00.txt
	Pages : 93
	Date : 2020-07-02

Abstract:
This document defines a YANG Data model (called, L2NM) that can be
used to manage the provisioning of Layer 2 VPN services within a
Service Provider Network. This YANG module provides representation
of the Layer 2 VPN Service from a network standpoint. The module is
meant to be used by a Network Controller to derive the configuration
information that will be sent to relevant network devices.

The L2NM YANG Data model complements the Layer 2 Service Model
(RFC8466) by providing a network-centric view of the service that is
   internal to a Service Provider.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Traffic Engineering Architecture and Signaling WG of the IETF.

Title : Overview and Principles of Internet Traffic Engineering
        Author : Adrian Farrel
	Filename : draft-ietf-teas-rfc3272bis-00.txt
	Pages : 77
	Date : 2020-07-02

Abstract:
This document describes the principles of Traffic Engineering (TE) in
the Internet. The document is intended to promote better
understanding of the issues surrounding traffic engineering in IP
networks and the networks that support IP networking, and to provide
a common basis for the development of traffic engineering
capabilities for the Internet. The principles, architectures, and
methodologies for performance evaluation and performance optimization
of operational networks are discussed throughout this document.

This work was first published as RFC 3272 in May 2002. This document
obsoletes RFC 3272 by making a complete update to bring the text in
line with best current practices for Internet traffic engineering and
to include references to the latest relevant work in the IETF.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Lightweight Authenticated Key Exchange WG of the IETF.

Title : Ephemeral Diffie-Hellman Over COSE (EDHOC)
        Authors : Göran Selander

	Date : 2020-07-06

Abstract:
This document specifies Ephemeral Diffie-Hellman Over COSE (EDHOC), a
very compact, and lightweight authenticated Diffie-Hellman key
exchange with ephemeral keys. EDHOC provides mutual authentication,
perfect forward secrecy, and identity protection. EDHOC is intended
for usage in constrained scenarios and a main use case is to
establish an OSCORE security context. By reusing COSE for
cryptography, CBOR for encoding, and CoAP for transport, the
additional code footprint can be kept very low.

	Pages : 17
	Date : 2020-07-06

Abstract:
This document describes an optional ISIS extension that allows the
creation of IS-IS flood reflection topologies. Flood reflection
allows the creation of topologies where L1 areas provide transit
forwarding for L2 destinations within an L2 topology. It
accomplishes this by creating L2 flood reflection adjacencies within
each L1 area. The L2 flood reflection adjacencies are used to flood
L2 LSPDUs, and they are used in the L2 SPF computation. However,
they are not used for forwarding. This arrangement gives the L2
topology better scaling properties. In addition, only those routers
directly participating in flood reflection have to support the
feature. This allows for the incremental deployment of scalable L1
transit areas in an existing network, without the necessity of
upgrading other routers in the network.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Autonomic Networking Integrated Model and Approach WG of the IETF.

Title : Support of asynchronous Enrollment in BRSKI (BRSKI-AE)
        Authors : Steffen Fries

	Pages : 35
	Date : 2020-07-10

Abstract:
This document describes enhancements of bootstrapping a remote secure
key infrastructure (BRSKI) to also operate in domains featuring no or
only timely limited connectivity between involved components. It
addresses connectivity to backend services supporting enrollment like
a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and also to the connectivity
between pledge and registrar. For this it enhances the use of
authenticated self-contained objects in BRSKI also for request and
distribution of deployment domain specific device certificates. The
defined approach is agnostic regarding the utilized enrollment
protocol allowing the application of existing and potentially new
   certificate management protocols.

	Date : 2020-07-13

Abstract:
Privacy and security issues with email header protection in S/MIME
have been identified for some time. However, the desire to fix these
issues has only recently been expressed in the IETF LAMPS Working
Group. The existing S/MIME specification is to be updated regarding
   header protection.

This document describes the problem statement, generic use cases, and
the S/MIME specification for header protection.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the TCP Maintenance and Minor Extensions WG of the IETF.

Title : HyStart++: Modified Slow Start for TCP
        Authors : Praveen Balasubramanian
                          Yi Huang
                          Matt Olson

	Pages : 8
	Date : 2020-07-13

Abstract:
This doument describes HyStart++, a simple modification to the slow
start phase of TCP congestion control algorithms. Traditional slow
start can cause overshotting of the ideal send rate and cause large
packet loss within a round-trip time which results in poor
performance. HyStart++ combines the use of one variant of HyStart
and Limited Slow Start (LSS) to prevent overshooting of the ideal
sending rate, while also mitigating poor performance which can result
from false positives when HyStart is used alone.

	Date : 2020-07-25

Abstract:
Segment Routing (SR) leverages the source routing paradigm. RFC 6374
specifies protocol mechanisms to enable the efficient and accurate
measurement of packet loss, one-way and two-way delay, as well as
related metrics such as delay variation in MPLS networks using probe
messages. This document utilizes these mechanisms for Performance
Delay and Loss Measurements in Segment Routing networks with MPLS
data plane (SR-MPLS), for both SR-MPLS Links and end-to-end Paths
including SR-MPLS Policies. In addition, this document defines
Return Path TLV for two-way performance measurement and Block Number
   TLV for loss measurement.

This draft is a work item of the IPv6 Maintenance WG of the IETF.

Title : Improving the Robustness of Stateless Address Autoconfiguration (SLAAC) to Flash Renumbering Events
        Authors : Fernando Gont

Abstract:
In renumbering scenarios where an IPv6 prefix suddenly becomes
invalid, hosts on the local network will continue using stale
prefixes for an unacceptably long period of time, thus resulting in
connectivity problems. This document improves the reaction of IPv6
Stateless Address Autoconfiguration to such renumbering scenarios.

Abstract:
This document describes an architecture to construct a Point-to-
Multipoint (P2MP) tree to deliver Multi-point services in a Segment
Routing domain. A SR P2MP tree is constructed by stitching a set of
Replication segments together. A SR Point-to-Multipoint (SR P2MP)
Policy is used to define and instantiate a P2MP tree which is
   computed by a PCE.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Authentication and Authorization for Constrained Environments WG of the IETF.

Title : An Authorization Information Format (AIF) for ACE
        Author : Carsten Bormann
	Filename : draft-ietf-ace-aif-00.txt
	Pages : 11
	Date : 2020-07-29

Abstract:
Constrained Devices as they are used in the "Internet of Things" need
security. One important element of this security is that devices in
the Internet of Things need to be able to decide which operations
requested of them should be considered authorized, need to ascertain
that the authorization to request the operation does apply to the
actual requester, and need to ascertain that other devices they place
requests on are the ones they intended.

To transfer detailed authorization information from an authorization
manager (such as an ACE-OAuth Authorization Server) to a device, a
representation format is needed. This document provides a suggestion
for such a format, the Authorization Information Format (AIF). AIF
is defined both as a general structure that can be used for many
different applications and as a specific refinement that describes
REST resources and the permissions on them.

This draft is a work item of the Email mailstore and eXtensions To Revise or Amend WG of the IETF.

Title : Sieve Email Filtering: delivery by mailboxid
        Author : Bron Gondwana
	Filename : draft-ietf-extra-sieve-mailboxid-00.txt
	Pages : 9
	Date : 2020-07-29

Abstract:
The OBJECTID capability of the IMAP protocol (RFC8474) allows clients
to identify mailboxes by a unique identifier which survives rename.

This document extends the Sieve mail filtering language (RFC5228) to
allow using that same unique identifier as a target for fileinto
rules, and for testing the existance of mailboxes.

	Pages : 29
	Date : 2020-07-30

Abstract:
Group communication for CoAP can be secured using Group Object
Security for Constrained RESTful Environments (Group OSCORE). A
Group Manager is responsible to handle the joining of new group
members, as well as to manage and distribute the group key material.
This document defines a RESTful admin interface at the Group Manager,
that allows an Administrator entity to create and delete OSCORE
groups, as well as to retrieve and update their configuration. The
ACE framework for Authentication and Authorization is used to enforce
authentication and authorization of the Administrator at the Group
Manager. Protocol-specific transport profiles of ACE are used to
achieve communication security, proof-of-possession and server
   authentication.

	Pages : 11
	Date : 2020-07-30

Abstract:
This document describes the mechanism to associate network resource
attributes to Segment Routing Identifiers (SIDs). Such SIDs are
referred to as resource-aware SIDs in this document. The resource-
aware SIDs retain their original forwarding semantics, but with the
additional semantics to identify the set of network resources
available for the packet processing action. The resource-aware SIDs
can therefore be used to build SR paths or virtual networks with a
set of reserved network resources. The proposed mechanism is
applicable to both segment routing with MPLS data plane (SR-MPLS) and
segment routing with IPv6 data plane (SRv6).

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Web Authorization Protocol WG of the IETF.

Title : The OAuth 2.1 Authorization Framework
        Authors : Dick Hardt

	Pages : 85
	Date : 2020-07-30

Abstract:
The OAuth 2.1 authorization framework enables a third-party
application to obtain limited access to an HTTP service, either on
behalf of a resource owner by orchestrating an approval interaction
between the resource owner and the HTTP service, or by allowing the
third-party application to obtain access on its own behalf. This
specification replaces and obsoletes the OAuth 2.0 Authorization
   Framework described in RFC 6749.

Abstract:
The Concise Binary Object Representation (CBOR, draft-ietf-cbor-
7049bis) is a data format whose design goals include the possibility
of extremely small code size, fairly small message size, and
extensibility without the need for version negotiation.

The present document defines CBOR tags for object identifiers (OIDs).
It is intended as the reference document for the IANA registration of
   the CBOR tags so defined.

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Inter-Domain Routing WG of the IETF.

Title : BGP Extended Community Registries Update
        Author : Christoph Loibl
	Filename : draft-ietf-idr-bgp-ext-com-registry-00.txt
	Pages : 5
	Date : 2020-07-30

Abstract:
This document updates several BGP Extended Community registries in
order to replace the "Experimental Use" registration procedure in
some entries, since their use is clearly not experimental and thus
   misleading.

   This document updates RFC7153.
