A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the RADIUS EXTensions Working Group of the IETF.

Title : Larger Packets for RADIUS over TCP
        Author : Sam Hartman
	Filename : draft-ietf-radext-bigger-packets-05.txt
	Pages : 9
	Date : 2015-12-09

Abstract:
The RADIUS over TLS experiment described in RFC 6614 has opened
RADIUS to new use cases where the 4096-octet maximum size limit of
RADIUS packet proves problematic. This specification extends the
RADIUS over TCP experiment (RFC 6613) to permit larger RADIUS
packets. This specification compliments other ongoing work to permit
fragmentation of RADIUS authorization information. This document
registers a new RADIUS code, an action which requires IESG approval.

The IETF datatracker status page for this draft is:
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-radext-bigger-packets/

There's also a htmlized version available at:
https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-radext-bigger-packets-05

A diff from the previous version is available at:
https://www.ietf.org/rfcdiff?url2=draft-ietf-radext-bigger-packets-05

Please note that it may take a couple of minutes from the time of submission
until the htmlized version and diff are available at tools.ietf.org.

Internet-Drafts are also available by anonymous FTP at:

#191: Is evaluation of backwards compatibility part of the experiment's goals?

Changes (by stefan.winter@restena.lu):

 * status:  new => closed
 * resolution:   => worksforme

Comment:

There doesn't seem to be much interest in this particular topic any more.
Considering that a future move to standards track would unify the contents
of 6613 and this draft, which makes the backward compatibility question
moot, it seems that the document can go out as-is.

#197: idnits comments for resolution with other IETF LC comments

These items are rather small and don't require an update before sending
the document to IETF LC. They were found during the final idnits check
which is required as per write-up procedures.

The comments should be cleared together with IETF LC comments, if any, or
 in any case before publication.

 * Updates: header is for RFC6613 and 6614. Nothing in the text actually
changes anything in RFC6614; the text even explicitly states:
"This specification updates [RFC6613] and will be used with [RFC6614]."
Being-used-with does not really warrant an "Updates" relationship.

 * There is a "SHOULD not" (missing capitalisation of the NOT):
"By default, a server SHOULD not generate a response larger than 4096
 octets."

 * Outdated reference: A later version (-13) exists of draft-ietf-abfab-
 aaa-saml-09

Hi,

The following documents are adopted as working group documents:
- draft-dekok-radext-coa-proxy-00.txt
- draft-winter-radext-populating-eapidentity-01

As a reminder, adopting a draft as working group document indicates that th=
ere is sufficient interest within the working group to work on the topic id=
entified in the draft and there is enough people willing to contribute on t=
his document.
The working group document becomes a placeholder for such a contribution. I=
t does mean that the actual content is endorsed by the working group.

Objet=A0: Call for WG document adoption

Hi

After a detailed check, it seems that I had an issue with my email account =
during the summer break (and even after) and that some of my emails were no=
t correctly distributed on the RADEXT mailing list.

To repeat what was agreed at the last IETF meeting, the following drafts ar=
e (more than) candidates as WG documents:
- draft-dekok-radext-coa-proxy-00.txt
- draft-winter-radext-populating-eapidentity-01

Both items are already part of the new charter.
Support for both was already expressed on the mailing list and during the m=
eeting.

Therefore, if no concern is raised before November, Monday 7, I will (final=
ly) confirm the adoption of these drafts as WG documents.=20

Sorry for this mess!

Regards,

Lionel
