We still have to determine if (and then how) we can make a free
version of the 3.4 IP/TV viewer available because of the fact that
it now includes an ISMA compliant MPEG4 decoder. Thus it is
subject to potentially some license fees ($0.25 cent within an

If you are looking for SSM-capable applications other than
IP/TV, vic/vat were updated by Mark Fullmer's crew, and MIM
was updated to support IGMPv3 by Abiel Reinhart last
year.

Note that unix IGMPv3 support is currently available for
FreeBSD only. Solaris and Linux don't support IGMPv3.

You can pick up the SSM applications and the FreeBSD IGMPv3
patch mentioned above at:

It may be better to announce it here as well.

IGMPv3 host-side kernel implementation for NetBSD-current has been
available.

<http://www-sop.inria.fr/planete/Hitoshi.Asaeda/igmpv3>

This implementation is independent from others.
I'd believe lots of improvements have been done in it.
It requires more test, but it provides complete IGMPv3 including
INCLUDE/EXCLUDE state transition, Basic/Advanced APIs, and so on. I
(we) have been working for it to be stable. Supporting other OSes and
other versions are on going. In addition, I've started implementing
MLDv2 based on my IGMPv3 implementation.

For more information, please read README file linked from an above
page.

The above patch is merged into the KAME snaps (NetBSD and FreeBSD-4)
from this week.

If you'd like to use it, please get the snap from the following URL
and rebuild the kernel with "IGMPV3" config option (it is disabled by
default).
	ftp://ftp.kame.net/pub/kame/snap/kame-20020722-netbsd152-snap.tgz
	ftp://ftp.kame.net/pub/kame/snap/kame-20020722-freebsd46-snap.tgz
(ported the above NetBSD implementation into FreeBSD)

Thanks,
