Talk about it, yes.
Have a draft, no :( Also, Stein Gjessing made the point that this =
should be based on draft-ietf-taps-transports-usage, which is growing =
but still far from finished (sorry)

But I think we should try to talk about the *how* - how will we give =
guidance, how will we create the subset?
At least one idea is in draft-gjessing-taps-minset-00, and I have some =
more.

Cheers,
Michael

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Transport Services of the IETF.

Title : Services provided by IETF transport protocols and congestion control mechanisms
        Authors : Godred Fairhurst
                          Brian Trammell
                          Mirja Kuehlewind
	Filename : draft-ietf-taps-transports-10.txt
	Pages : 53
	Date : 2016-03-04

Abstract:
This document describes, surveys, classifies and compares the
protocol mechanisms provided by existing IETF protocols, as
background for determining a common set of transport services. It
examines the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), Multipath TCP, the
Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP), the User Datagram
Protocol (UDP), UDP-Lite, the Datagram Congestion Control Protocol
(DCCP), the Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP), the Realtime
Transport Protocol (RTP), File Delivery over Unidirectional
Transport/Asynchronous Layered Coding Reliable Multicast (FLUTE/ALC),
and NACK-Oriented Reliable Multicast (NORM), Transport Layer Security
(TLS), Datagram TLS (DTLS), and the Hypertext Transport Protocol
(HTTP) when used as a pseudotransport.

The IETF datatracker status page for this draft is:

A new version of I-D, draft-gjessing-taps-minset-01.txt
has been successfully submitted by Stein Gjessing and posted to the
IETF repository.

Name: draft-gjessing-taps-minset
Revision:	01
Title: A Minimal Set of Transport Services for TAPS Systems
Document date:	2016-03-18
Group: Individual Submission
Pages: 14
URL: =
https://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-gjessing-taps-minset-01.txt
Status: =
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-gjessing-taps-minset/
Htmlized: =
https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-gjessing-taps-minset-01
Diff: =
https://www.ietf.org/rfcdiff?url2=3Ddraft-gjessing-taps-minset-01

Abstract:
This draft will eventually recommend a minimal set of IETF Transport
Services offered by end systems supporting TAPS, and give guidance on
choosing among the available mechanisms and protocols. It
categorizes the set of transport services given in the TAPS document
  draft-ietf-taps-transports-usage-00, assuming that the eventual
minimal set of transport services will be based on a similar form of
  categorization.

Please note that it may take a couple of minutes from the time of =
submission
until the htmlized version and diff are available at tools.ietf.org.

UDP+UDP-L - Gorry Fairhurst

draft-fairhurst-taps-transports-usage-udp
<https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-fairhurst-taps-transports-usage-udp=
/>
(1) Does this capture UDP API usage? (especially if you program using UDP).
(2) What should/could this ID say about multicast use of UDP?
(3) Would the WG be happy to take this, or a future revision of this draft,
as input to the current working group draft?

Constructing the minimal required TAPS service set - Stein Gjessing

draft-gjessing-taps-minset-01
<https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-gjessing-taps-minset-01>
- How to give guidance to the application?
- What, how and why put mechanisms under the hood?

NEAT: a project implementing TAPS - Naeem Khademi

NEAT is an H2020-funded EU project that is developing a system which allows
network =E2=80=9Cservices=E2=80=9D to be offered to applications based on t=
heir
requirements and system policies. This will include an implementation of
TAPS. This is a work-in-progress and in early stages of development.
However, we believe in open code and have therefore already made the NEAT
repository public. Suggestions, comments and patches are welcome on github.=
 The
NEAT repository can be accessed here: https://github.com/NEAT-project/neat

Doc 1a update - Naeem Khademi
=E2=80=9COn the Usage of Transport Service Features Provided by IETF
   Transport Protocols=E2=80=9D
  draft-ietf-taps-transports-usage-00
  (1) Should (D)TLS be addressed?

UDP+UDP-L - Gorry Fairhurst
  draft-fairhurst-taps-transports-usage-udp
  (1) Does this capture UDP API usage? (especially if you program
      using UDP).
  (2) What should/could this ID say about multicast use of UDP?
  (3) Would the WG be happy to take this, or a future revision of
this draft, as input to the current working group draft?

Constructing the minimal required TAPS service set - Stein Gjessing
  draft-gjessing-taps-minset-01
  (1) How to give guidance to the application?
  (2) What, how and why put mechanisms under the hood?

NEAT: a project implementing TAPS - Michael Tuexen
NEAT is an H2020-funded EU project that is developing a system
which allows network =E2=80=9Cservices=E2=80=9D to be offered to applicat=

based on their requirements and system policies. This will include
an implementation of TAPS. This is a work-in-progress and in early

Hi all,

Regarding the first agenda item, one particular question that we=E2=80=99l=
l want to discuss at the meeting is how to handle TLS/DTLS. If folks who =
could contribute to that discussion would attend, that would be great.

Cheers,
Michael
