A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts director=
ies. This draft is a work item of the Centralized Conferencing Working Grou=
p of the IETF.

Title : Conference Information Data Model for Centralized Confer=
encing (XCON)
	Author(s) : Oscar Novo
                          Gonzalo Camarillo
                          David P. Morgan
                          Jari Urpalainen
	Filename : draft-ietf-xcon-common-data-model-32.txt
	Pages : 93
	Date : 2011-09-19

RFC5239 defines the idea of a centralized conferencing (XCON) as an
association of participants with a central focus. The state of a
conference is represented by a conference object. This document
defines an Extensible Markup Language (XML)-based conference
information data model to be used for conference objects. A
conference information data model is designed to convey information
about the conference and about participation in the conference. The
conference information data model defined in this document
constitutes an extension of the data format specified in the Session
Initiation Protocol (SIP) Event Package for Conference State.

The IESG has approved the following document:
- 'Centralized Conferencing Manipulation Protocol'
  (draft-ietf-xcon-ccmp-15.txt) as a Proposed Standard

This document is the product of the Centralized Conferencing Working
Group.

The IESG contact persons are Robert Sparks and Gonzalo Camarillo.

A URL of this Internet Draft is:
http://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-xcon-ccmp/

Technical Summary

The Centralized Conferencing Manipulation Protocol (CCMP) allows a
multimedia conferencing system client to create, retrieve, change,
and delete objects that describe a centralized conference. CCMP is a
means to control basic and advanced conference features such as
conference state and capabilities, participants, relative roles, and
details. CCMP is a stateless, XML-based, client server protocol.

Working Group Summary

This document is a product of the XCON working group.

Document Quality

There are multiple implementations of CCMP.
Types review for application/ccmp+xml was requested 16Sep2010.

Personnel

Alan Johnston is the Document Shepherd for this document.
Robert Sparks is the responsible Area Director.

All -

The XCON working group has completed its chartered work. The last =
documents are now in the RFC Editor queue.
The group is concluded - the announcement will go out soon.
The mailing list will remain in place.

It's been a very long road - XCON first met at IETF 57. Thanks to =
everyone who helped push this to completion.
Wherever you are, raise a glass to this milestone this evening, and if =
you'll be in Taipei, lets find some time to celebrate.
