This package provides Python bindings for the Message Passing
Interface (MPI) standard. It is implemented on top of the MPI
specification and exposes an API which grounds on the standard
MPI-2 C++ bindings.

A test suite is available, requiring network access when run.
It is not run by default but may be enabled by setting the
environment variable DO_TESTS=yes e.g.
    DO_TESTS=yes bash ./python3-mpi4py.SlackBuild

This SlackBuild lists system/mpich as one of its requirements.
It is possible to use system/openmpi instead with the following
caveats:
  - openmpi and mpich should not both be installed
  - test suite is never run with openmpi due to excessive failures
